While out for a morning walk, I noticed these tracks in the soft crushed gravel of my driveway. Deer, raccoon and even coyote tracks are easy to identify, but this was something new and puzzling. It was obviously something fairly large and long. The path at this point measured about 14 feet across. Any guesses?
I used Animal Tracks of Texas, a field guide, to help me solve the puzzle. TPWD has a fun site where you can test you skill with other animals. Check out their site and see if you can match the tracks to the photo of the animal who made the track.
