I saw the little guy nibbling on some grass seeds.  I was surprised to see him out during the day.  I was able to capture this shot by being very still and very quiet.  Even so, he suddenly dashed into the grasses as a red-tailed hawk flew over.  The hawk’s shadow cast a warning of imminent danger.   Someone else out looking for lunch.   Do you know the type of mammal this is?
