It’s time to get up close and personal with nature!

The Upper Highland Lakes Nature Center is  located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, just north of Burnet, TX on the Reveille Peak Ranch.

We offer customized hikes and Discovering Nature Activities for organized groups of all ages.  The biological and geological diversity of the area offers a wide range of opportunities to learn about the special nature of the Hill Country.

Come learn about the beautiful Texas wildflowers and interesting native plants;  discover interesting facts about insects from bees and butterflies, to dragonflies and ladybugs; explore the natural geological forces that produced the hill country;  explore pollinator and keyhole gardens in harmony with nature;  check out a real archaeological dig site and learn about the people who lived here before Texas was Texas; learn about bats, beavers, birds, snakes, fish, and other animal friends… and so much more!
